Life is a never-ending balancing act. Juggling work, food, exercise, money and our emotions can be a minefield – sometimes even feeling impossible. But whatever balance you want in life, it’s always important to remember that you are just one step away from tipping the scales in the wrong direction.
Do you know of anyone that committed to a new fad diet but ruined progress after only one day by binging on chocolate? Or how about the friend who promised to ditch social media for a month but the next day wanted to discuss the new Snapchat filter?
These people opt for a major life overhaul and this is often unsustainable. Instead of a fad diet, we could gradually change the way we eat, or instead of restricting social media for a month, ease yourself in with a digital detox one weekend. By making small changes, we don’t need to cut ourselves off completely from things that bring us happiness.
Balance, that’s the secret! Balance isn’t better time management, but it’s learning better boundary management.
